Welcome

History is Important! H. Fred Mercer, III, Esquire is a third generation attorney, and his firm Mercer & Mercer, can trace its roots back to early Pittsburgh in 1904 through his father and grandfather. Fred and his staff focus on representing victims of personal injury, medical malpractice, product liability, wrongful death, and motor vehicle accidents (including drivers or passengers of automobile/cars, trucks, motorcycles, and bicycles) and, of course, pedestrian injuries caused by a motor vehicle. There is no cost to their clients unless a settlement or judgment is obtained on their behalf. Fred and his staff are dedicated to giving personalized professional attention to any matter they undertake, and to obtaining the best result possible for the client. At Mercer & Mercer the client always comes first.

With many years of experience behind him, Fred handles each case personally and has realized settlements and judgments for many of his clients in excess of $1 million dollars. Fred and his staff have successfully handled many complicated medical malpractice cases involving brain injuries, missed or delayed diagnosis of lung cancer, cervical cancer, and breast cancer; birth related injuries in children; medical errors with medication, surgery, delayed response, post-operative complications, missed or delayed diagnosis, and emergency room mistakes. They have handled cases against major drug corporations involving defective artificial heart valves.

Mercer & Mercer routinely undertakes (with successful results) general personal injury and wrongful death cases, where accidents and injuries are caused by DUI (driving under the influence) or drunk driving.

Fred and Mercer & Mercer have a success rate of well over 90% with the cases they accept.
